Hey Caronport,
You are all doing so many things right in this ever changing situation. I know many of you are wisely choosing to limit your contact with friends and neighbours around you. We all find this difficult but it is the proper choice for now. So far our community has not had any infection of the COVID-19 virus. Life would change even more if this were to happen. Therefore, please continue to follow the advise of Sask Health officials, national instructions on employment and health, and of course the advise of close friends and family. While limiting your contact with others let us continue to stay in touch with our neighbours who might need some help at this time.
In an attempt to lessen face to face contact at this time, Council has closed the village office except by appointment. Please call the office to see if the staff is able to assist you over the phone or online, or to arrange a time to visit the office if necessary. I also understand that Briercrest College has closed their doors to the school to all unnecessary visits. Council is also closing the Tot Lot to all public access until further notice. We would also advise all parents to not permit children to use the play structures, basketball courts or the outdoor rink at the elementary school.
If there are any questions you have related to activities in the village or suggestions you would have Council consider, please feel free to reach out to any council member.
We are praying for the health and mental wellbeing of each one of our residents.
Mayor Dan
on behalf of Council and Staff
