Caronport Community Safety Office Extends Contract for 40 Months

Caronport, SK β€” October 9, 2024 β€” The Caronport Community Safety Office is thrilled to announce that the contract for our community safety initiatives has been extended for an additional 40 months. This extension underscores our ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all Caronport residents.

We are pleased to report that during the previous contract period, crime and other offences in our community have seen a significant decline. This positive trend reflects the effectiveness of our comprehensive safety measures and the cooperative efforts of the residents and law enforcement.

This renewed contract will allow us to continue providing essential services, including regular patrols, community outreach programs, and safety education workshops. Our aim is to foster a secure and supportive environment where every member of our community can thrive.

The Caronport Community Safety Office works closely with the RCMP and other provincial agencies to ensure comprehensive and coordinated safety measures. These partnerships have been crucial in our efforts to maintain public safety and address community concerns effectively.

Additionally, the agency is actively exploring opportunities to collaborate with neighbouring municipalities to expand our reach and enhance our community safety initiatives. These expansions will enable us to share resources, knowledge, and best practices, thereby strengthening the safety net for all communities involved.

Tactics used by the Caronport Community Safety Office include high-visibility patrols, community engagement, common sense, and modern law enforcement methods. These strategies have proven effective in creating a safer environment for everyone.

As part of our services, we also coordinate the Village’s Emergency Measures Organization to ensure our community is well-prepared for any emergencies and disasters.

"We are deeply grateful for the community's trust and support," said S/Cst. Randy Jesse at the Caronport Community Safety Office. "This extension empowers us to enhance our efforts in building a safer Caronport for everyone."
