The Village of Caronport, SK (about 1000 population) is looking for the next Chief of Police who will take on the full responsibility to serve and protect our rural community. Caronport is a unique community, the home of Briercrest Schools, situated on #1 Highway, only 15 minutes west of Moose Jaw. Applicants for this position must have at least 5 years of police experience with a fully accredited Canadian police force and have the ability to perform the full scope of General Duty policing and investigations (Federal, Provincial, and Bylaw enforcement knowledge and ability) as well as maintain the administrative functions of a small police agency. Potential candidates must be mature, self-motivated, and self-directed individuals willing to be flexible and on call for extended periods of time as a resident in the village they police. The ability to forge collegial working relationships with other police and provincial agencies is essential, along with a willingness to provide support and liaison to several schools.
